PVL is a facial treatment procedure that delivers low-energy sound waves to gently stimulate the skin and muscle layers to promote toning, firming and lifting effects.
It is common to experience some tingling sensations on the skin during the treatment and mild facial muscle sore after the treatment. Although this may differ from one person to another, PVL is generally considered painless, quick and without any downtime.
Is it normal for my skin to feel some warmth the next day after the multi-modal PVL therapy?
Yes, it is not uncommon to experience temporary skin warmth after the treatment because of increased metabolism as a result of ultrasonic stimulation which may last up to 2 days. Active cell regeneration and tissue repair take place during this post-treatment healing process.
